History

Built on risk. Elevated by craft. Sustained by generations.

In 1968, Guy Williams took a leap of faith—leaving behind the security of a steady bricklaying job to start his own company: Guy Williams Masonry. Through sheer skill, hard work, and a dedication to doing things right, Guy built the bones of what would become a respected name in the industry. He quickly made a mark with projects like the stonework restoration of San Antonio’s historic Schultze Building, earning a reputation for precision, trust, and quality that positioned the company as a major local player.

In 1994, Guy’s daughter De’Aun and son-in-law Anton Shadrock stepped in to lead the next chapter. They renamed the business Shadrock & Williams, and expanded on Guy’s legacy—doubling down on craftsmanship and reputation, while scaling operations to serve new regions and larger, more complex projects across the state. Their leadership brought landmark wins like the Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Latin American Art and the University of Texas Downtown Campus Phase II, and they laid the groundwork for a modern company—building systems, cultivating client relationships, and preparing the next generation to lead.

Today, the third generation is carrying the torch—never losing sight of what got us here. We remain centered around delivering traditional masonry projects, both big and small, with the same values and work ethic that built our name. We’re simply doing it on a larger footprint—applying those same principles of craftsmanship, integrity, and execution to a growing set of complementary systems and services. The name Shadrock & Williams still stands for what it always has: a deep commitment to the trade, a team-first culture, and the ability to deliver when it matters most.
